PCC #33 and MMSC45

Quick post as our internet is not staying connected and we don't get a technician until Sunday

This week at Paper Cutz Challenge the challenge was to make something with a bow and three buttons. Post your name and a link to your creation in Mr Linky by midnight EST, Thursday, March 25th. If you're chosen as the winner by random.org, your name will be placed in the drawing for the March grand prize!+

As usual, my card used the sketch from Midnight Madness! This will be for someone for Easter- not sure yet who that is LOL-
I used paper from SEI and the Halen in Basket image at SMC

Don't forget about the Copic Giveaway and our Design Team Call.

PCC #32 and MMSC44

This week at Paper Cutz Challenge it's anything goes! Make a card, LO or craft project using any theme or colors you'd like. Post your name and a link to your creation in Mr Linky by midnight EST, Thursday, March 18th. If you're chosen as the winner by random.org, your name will be placed in the drawing for the March grand prize! Remember...anything goes! So make sure to stop by there and enter your challenge.

As usual, my card used the sketch from Midnight Madness! I made this card for my brother-in-law. I asked Jeri what I should do and she suggested a new image of Toga with a cane, so I drew one up. This image will be in the store next week.

The inside of the card:

Midnight Madness 43 // Paper Cutz Challenge

I have been having some crazy computer issues, so please forgive me if you have sent an email and I have not responded. I still have yet to get this weeks projects complete, but I think I finally got rid of the little pop-up virus I had-cross your fingers for me.

The theme for the Paper Cutz Challenge this week was (is) St. Patrick's Day and I usually try to incorporate the MMSC with the PCC and I had this great idea to use shamrocks around the outside for the sketch. I envisioned this really nice card in my head and then went to look at the DT cards on Midnight Madness and I saw that Priscilla already did one just exactly the way I pictured in my head-so I started over (again). I had such trouble coloring my little Miki the first day, and the second day, but then yesterday, I tried again and love how he came out. I guess practice does make things better. I am also adding this to a new site I found called One Stop Craft Challenge The theme this week is "Sew Simple".

I added some flower soft on the cloud and some stickles on the rainbows and used Six layers of card stock and two DP's.Added a couple shamrocks and some sewing around the edges. I changed the direction of the sketch and flipped the oval a little (hopefully you can still see the sketch in the card).

You can get this image in the SMC store
[MMSC43.jpg]

Don't forget about our Copic Drawing going on right now: purchase $10 worth of digital stamps in our store and you will be entered. Each additional $5 you spend will get you an additional entry. The more entries we get, the more Copics we will add. The amount right now is standing at 16 markers. Tell all of your friends so the count can go up.

This weeks challenge at the challenge blog  is "Lets Hear It For The Boys!!" That's right...a male themed project!! They so often get overlooked, so lets show them some love. It can be for a child or adult! Doesn't have to be a card, think outside of the box!!Be sure to check out Sew Many Cards for some fabulous images that you could use in your challenge this week!!

Last but not least, the winner for commenting here during the blog hop is: Dee
Make sure to claim your free image and congratulations to the other winners:

Sew Many Cards March New Release Blog Hop and Copics

Can you believe March is about here already???? It's been a crazy month and things have been a little more chaotic than I like, but here's to a new month and some new releases.
First, if you are looking for the blog hop start, it start at the Sew Many Challenges blog-

I got some new Copics this last week - 144 to be exact with a bunch more showing up tomorrow. I am horrible at them, but hope with a little practice, I will learn to use them as they should be used! Sew, my question to you is:

Do you want to win some Copic Markers?????
Sew Many Cards is giving you a chance to win from now and through the month of March!
  • Any purchase in the Sew Many Cards shop of $10 will get you one entry
  • Every $5 more you spend will get you another entry. No limit on the number of entries you get--
  • Put the following pic with a link back here -

We will start of with a 12 color set of your choice and we will add more Copics as we get more entries. If you don't want the set, we can substitute the colors for ones you want in the same price range. MSRP for a 12 color set is $77.88 and all you have to do is spend $10 to have a chance at winning them!  Remember, by the contest end date, there will be more Copics added-the more entries, the more Copics, so tell all of your friends.

Contest ends April 1 and we will announce the winner April 15-Tax Day!

Now on to the blog hop!

I made my card using the Midnight Madness sketch and added a flower soft globe around it. I thought it would go well with the jar LOL. I also added some flower soft on the inside for some more texture and take away from the white. Flowers were added along the side and I sewed around the edges with pink thread. This image would be great for Easter or any time you have a sweet tooth

Paper Cutz Challenge 28

Can you believe it--- Here, in Charleston, SC, we are expecting SNOW- and not just a dusting, but actual inches. I miss a day of snow here and there, but am very grateful we don't get it like the rest of the East has.

Don't forget, all of the 2009 images are on sale in bundles of 30 for only $10

On to this week's challenge at Paper Cutz Challenge. This weeks challenge is to make a teen birthday card. I used Hershey with Girl and added the bag that comes with the accessory pack, and wanted to try something new and not color it. I actually like the effect and may do it more. It's a pretty simple card-paper, bows, gems, punch and of course sewing.

Make sure to stop by Paper Cutz and check out the rest of the design teams designs.

Sew New Tuesday/Wednesday...

As some of you know, my son has just recently been diagnosed with a speech disorder. In short-terms his brain cannot get his mouth to do what it says, so words do not come out like they do with us. It's been very difficult on me and also the family and he he is getting where he knows he cannot talk, no matter what he tries, so it's starting to take a toll on him now too. There are also other things that come with the disorder, but most of the other things are easier to manage. Anyway, because of this, he has therapy with someone who gets to play with him (what a wonderful job, huh) to help him with his social skills (also another symptom) and she also helps us learn to communicate with him-- and another that comes to help him learn to speak-at this point it is through sign-language. All of this has just started in the last couple weeks and has messed up my entire schedule.

I don't normally discuss private family things on my blogs but it is because of all of these things, I will not be able to post new images on Tuesdays, but will be changing it to Wednesdays. I will still have the new images on sale for the week they are released and will do my very best to upload one every week, but in case I miss one or two, I hope you will understand. I have met some fantastic and caring people in this blog world and I don't want to let you down, but for obvious reasons, I have some new things to deal with at home.

Sew (I can't help it) on to this weeks new image.... I am NOT a frog person, but there are a lot of people out there that love frogs and I get several requests for them-For those frog lovers, Meet Freddy and Frieda- This set includes several sentiments that are "Frog" related. You can see them detailed below-All of this for $5 and this week they are on sale for $2.50 for all- Check out the other specials too: Tight now we have 8 packs that have 30 images in them for only $10 each. That comes to less than .35 cents per image. --- I made this card for the new Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge and will also be adding it to the Creative Belli Blog that I just found. Oh and I also found a new blog called Flutter By Wednesdays that I am entering this in- This card speaks love, doesn't it LOL...Well, if anything I love pink and green together I used a Martha Punch on the bottom and layered it and added a few butterfly Dazzles and added some stickles, but it's hard to see all that in the pictures. And last (of course) I sewed along the edges with some bright pink thread.

This week at Paper Cutz Challenge, the theme is to make a project with a farm animal. I made my card using Duncan-He qualifies for a farm animal right? Also, be sure to stop by Split Coast Stampers and join in the sketch challenge this week- Okay, every week, but this week I am the guest hostess and have a great sketch to use.

And last but CERTAINLY not least, I used the sketch at Midnight Madness. And I LOVE that they are doing sneak peaks for the next week. I was planning on getting my card done early for them this week because I had the sketch, but then got the "call" from Split Coast Stampers asking if I would be the guest hostess for the week and had to rearrange- I loved this sketch and knewthe perfect things to use on it.

The image I used was Duncan in the Tub- The flowers and gems are from HOTP and I don't know the paper- it was in my stash and I didn't note on it where it came from- the felt is from Reflections- I found this sticker in my stash too, and thought it was perfect: How cute is this face?
